From the first day of operation, Mustard Seed Ministries has been overly concerned with the fact that 'tech trash' should not find its way into our local landfill.

It is our daily goal to see that our tech trash finds its way to the appropriate salvage locations locally and nationally. Toward this end, we recycle our metal salvage with local collection companies. Our motherboards, cards, processors, and other internal computer parts are recycled through a partnership with STS Tech Recycling. They breakdown each component, sort it, and ship it out to a nation reclamation firm.

Since Mustard Seed generates no profit from its salvage program, and salvaging our own tech trash is already highly labor intensive;  we DO NOT accept salvage from outside sources. It is our policy to accept refurbishable computer units; each may be accompanied by a monitor, keyboard, mouse and speakers. We DO NOT accept shipments of monitors alone.

Beginning in June of 2011, MSM instituted a hard drive data destruction program! We loving call this new program Cyber Scrub!

As donated computers enter our facility we will with 24 hours pull the hard drive and erase it according to DOD specifications. Clients may request special handling of their hard drives if they call pre-delivery. We will be happy to erase your hard drive in the manner you feel most comfortable.
