Planting Seeds of Hope...

Mustard Seed Ministries began its public outreach by teach adult computer literacy classes. We had discovered that too many adults were afraid of the computer and didn't feel like they could touch one without breaking it. Our intent was to make the computer a friendly tool for adults.

Our in-house computer lab has 25 stations so that each student sits in front of a computer to learn their lessons hands-on. Each class we teach has four sessions of two hours each. This usually means that classes will run for four consecutive Wednesdays etc.. Materials taught in the four sessions includes: an intro to Windows XP, how to use Microsoft Word for personal or business use, the basic use of a digital camera, an introduction to computer "toys", and the basics of how to safely use the internet.

We teach these class at no charge... they are FREE!

Mustard Seed offers to clubs and organizations of ten or more the use of our mobile lab for learning how to use the computer. We have two traveling labs of 20 units each and are happy to make arrangements to come to your location to teach a one or two day class. These remote classes offer our same excellent teaching staff and our labs are fully self-contained...you will only need to priovide table space and electricity! For the scheduling of a one day remote class we do ask for the club or organization to reemberse our ministry for travel expenses only; participants still attend class at no charge.

For those who are already familiar with the basic use of the computer, MSM has an intermediate level class. This class is also four sessions, which include a deeper look at how to use Word, and an introduction to Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher. Each student attends this class hands-on and completes projects with each lesson.
